If you have been into Disneyland or the Universal Studios theme park, these may not yet be the place of your dreams. They have been attracting visitors for many decades now but there is one themed attraction that would stun you in an even shorter period of time. From May 1 until October 31, it is Shanghai’s turn to show the world what they’ve got. Shanghai, China is the host of the 2010 World Expo with the theme “Better City. Better Life”
Various themed pavilions inspired by the country they are representing were installed in an area as huge as a city in Metro Manila. Almost all countries participated in the event exhibiting performances, and boasting of their wonders, may it be natural or man-made.
The Philippines is one of them. Its pavilion is not as grand as the others but a white structure painted with hand collages symbolizing the “caring hands of the Filipinos”. The Philippines, this 2010, highlights its ‘Performing Cities’ (the theme of the pavilion) with attractions such as art performances, art and music exhibit, and a hydro-massage to the visitors.
